Meat

Most of HARVEST’s meats come from Moody Meats. Adam and Lucy Moody are fifth generation farmers who live on and farm 300 acres in Southern Montgomery County, Indiana. His children were home schooled without a television in the house. Moody considers his farm to be a living, viable ecosystem, NOT A FOOD FACTORY. Adam genuinely cares about his employees, his land and the animals he raises and it shows. “We haven’t had a vet on our farm in over 12 years”. Moody beef is beyond organic. There are no added hormones, no antibiotics, no GMO grains, no wormers*, no supplements*, no vaccines*, no feed lots*, no high stocking rates and no animal by-products in their feed* [*Allowed in certified organic beef production.] Adam is personally involved in every aspect of operation from breeding, to raising, to processing. He was the first certified organic meat processor in the area. Moody’s Choice+ beef is then dry aged for 21 days, then meat is then brought to HARVEST where the steaks and roasts are hand cut and the ground meat is ground fresh several times every day.
